Hearts and Homes, 1999

In 1999, I worked with kids from the City of East Chicago summer parks program to produce a community mural at the West Calumet Complex. The mural is comprised of imagery drawn by the students during workshops. Staying faithful to their drawings I composed a mural structure to tie all of the drawings together. During the rest of the summer, the students worked along side me and my assistant to paint the mural.
