Tom Torluemke: Blind Man’s Bluff

I once saw a painting by Boucher called Blind Man’s Bluff.  The painting depicted a group of nude, cupid-type children playing Blind Man’s Bluff in an idilic landscape. One of the children was blindfolded and reaching out as the other children laughed. I identified with the blindfolded child. It’s how I often feel; exposed, uncertain and not able to find what I’m searching for.

Works by Tom Torluemke – paintings, drawings & sculptures that hurt, but challenge us to laugh it off, love again and get along.
